교정시설 수형자 900여명이 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 조기 가석방 된다.

법무부는 코로나19 확산에 안정적이고 신속하게 대응하기 위해 14일 가석방을 

조기 실시한다고 13일 밝혔다. 가석방 실시로 교정시설 과밀수용을 완화한다는 취지다.

법무부는 코로나19에 취약한 기저질환자, 고령자 등과 모범수형자를 대상으로 

심사 기준을 완화해 가석방 대상자를 확대했다. 

다만 무기·장기수형자와 성폭력사범, 음주운전 사범(사망·도주·중상해), 아동학대 등 

사회적으로 물의를 일으킨 범죄는 가석방 확대 대상에서 제외된다.

최근 서울동부구치소 코로나19 감염이 계속되는 상황에서 

다른 교정시설로도 집단감염이 확산될 수 있다는 우려가 제기되고 있다. 

법무부에 따르면 이날 오전 8시 기준 전국 교정시설 코로나19 누적 확진자수는 1,249 명이다. (국민일보)

So the LORD sent a plague on Israel 

from that morning until the end of the time designated, 

and seventy thousand of the people from Dan to Beersheba died.
